Kenmare
I stayed in rooms above pubs the entire week I traveled in Ireland, and this was by far the best. The room was large and comfortable, and had several features typical to American hotel rooms - desk, ironing board, safe, washcloths. The bath products smelled wonderful. The decor was interesting and up-to-date. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options, including fruit and veg, and great coffee. The location is right in the middle of town, and Kenmare is an excellent base for exploring the Ring of Kerry.
Caherdaniel
We absolutely loved our stay at the Old Forge and it was a highlight of our trip around Ireland! The location was perfect to enjoy the south side of the Ring of Kerry (easily our favourite part), close to beaches, as well as seeing the stars on a clear night. It was a picturesque, comfortable BnB from the get go with the most gorgeous view of the sea from our window, and the breakfast choices were delicious everyday. Everything was really perfect. We would stay here again in an instant, thank you so much Kathy and team :)
Killarney
Favorite stay from our trip to Ireland! Located on a peaceful family farm 15 mins from downtown Killarney and right at the Ring of Kerry road. The pods themselves were super comfortable and equipped with everything one might need, including a fridge, kettle, coffee, tea, milk, cereal etc. In the morning, the hosts dropped by with a lovely breakfast basket with fresh bread, butter, honey and eggs (which we cooked in the common kitchen). The hosts were lovely and very responsive. We wish we could have stayed longer!
Kenmare
We were in Ireland for 20 days so we wanted a variety of experiences. We chose this location because it gave us a chance to be alone for a while. No hotels, or B&Bs. It was a great place to recharge the batteries. Nearby places in Kenmare to buy food so it was easy making meals. Very quiet and peaceful location. Outstanding views. There is a golf course close by, but don't recall if it's open to non-members. Just off the Ring of Kerry with easy access to the ring.
Beaufort
Beaufort Lodge was an exceptional stay during our trip to Ireland. Well located for the Ring of Kerry, Gap of Dunlop and Killarney National Park, it is in peaceful and beautiful farmland. Our host Ulrike was extremely helpful with local information, suggestions for where to go etc. The breakfasts were amazing with a great choice. Ulrike is a great cook and makes all the jams and other additions to breakfast. The room was spotless and very comfortable.
Hotel was excellent easy to find and nice comfy rooms, Food was exceptionally good and freshly cooked with plenty of choice , sadly was only in the area for two nights but when i return hope to spend longer there as its well placed for both the ring of kerry and the dingle peninsular, ,and with the friendly helpful staff i could not ask for more ,is a local petrol station with shop nearby (this also has laundry facilities if you are in a rush ,
We stayed at 5 hotels during a 2 week trip to Ireland, at least 2 of them were 5 stars and Brook Lane was our favorite. It felt personal, warm and comfortable. And it was SPOTLESS, with good sized rooms. The staff was friendly, the food and service at Casey's was exceptional particularly considering the price x value. The location is perfect for walking access to Kenmare and for driving access the Ring of Kerry. I will be back!
Killarney
The room was beautiful! Comfortable bed and relaxing spa/jetted tub!! Breakfast was delicious, with both hot and cold options. They have a FREE parking lot right behind the hotel that is gated. We stayed here as it was a central location to drive the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula. There are so many fun and delicious restaurants at your doorstep. I highly recommend staying here!! It was the highlight of our vacation.
Cahersiveen
The quaint cottage was clean and cozy. The kitchen was fully equipped. We used the fireplace every evening. That was a real treat. The view of the bay with the mountains as a backdrop was incredible! We’d walk each day through the neighborhood filled with sheep and cows. Absolutely beautiful surroundings! I would come back to Ireland just to stay here! We drive the ring of Kerry. The views here were just as good.
Beaufort
The location is amazing. The Ferris Wheel is a beautiful place in an amazing area. Very close to the Ring of Kerry, but apart from that great things to explore close by like the highest mountain of Ireland, Gap of Dunloe, Killarney.. a few very nice places to eat a short walk away. Loved Heathers. We were provided with nice lunch packages by the very nice hosts. I would love to visit again!
Kenmare
The house was well appointed, and Josephine had great insights on places to see. We really appreciated the coffee maker, wifi, and excellent shower. The location was great for exploring the ring of Kerry and the Dingle peninsula, and having cows as neighbors was a hit with the kids. It was also remote and quiet enough to be really restful. There really is nothing like fresh Ireland air. 🍀
Getting slightly used to very high prices in Ireland this hotel surprised me with price to value ratio, especially when I factor in their incredible breakfast Breakfast included in price Room was very comfortable and location good for a drive around the Ring of Kerry Hidden gem - the place has the best restaurant in the area. Definitely a real dinner pleasure
Food was lovely. Same menu for the three nights but there was enough variety. Superior Room we stayed in had a lake view. Weather was great so that helped. Hotel is beautifully presented. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Location is lovely, right on Caragh Lake. Near to Killorglin and Ring of Kerry. Will definitely come back to Ard na Sidhe.
Killarney
My friend and I used the hotel as a base for two day trips - the Dingle Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry. Our stay was lovely. Our rooms were completely different, which I liked. The breakfast was hearty, offering not only self-serve cereal, coffee, etc but also a full Irish. It's very close to the main street with a variety of shops and restaurants.
Killarney
A beautiful, peaceful and efficiently run hotel set just far enough from the centre of Killarney. The location was perfect for visiting the Dingle Peninsula, Ring of Kerry and Killarney National Park. The breakfast was delicious, the staff were friendly and efficient, and the family room was large and a quiet respite from a day full of activities.
Killarney
We were contacted on the day of arrival to confirm the arrangements for collecting the keys (Main door entry code and a key box for the apartment itself). The location was very convenient for our purposes - we were touring the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsular. Supermarkets and take-away restaurants are very close by.
Cahersiveen
The location, food and views are the best we've experienced. The Attention Eilis and Tom gave made us feel welcomed and above all, the help and tips they offered us to get our dreamed Skelling Michael tour. It is a really nice place to stay and visit the Ring of Kerry and just enjoy Ireland's contry side life.
Hotel was clean and met expectations for a budget/family hotel. The bathroom was bigger than I’d expected which was nice. Personally I liked that it was north of downtown (easy to launch Ring of Kerry), but worth mentioning it would be a fairly long walk if you’re spending all your time in downtown Killarney.
Kenmare
Noreen was very friendly, we forgot something and she let us know. Breakfast was very good, you can choose from a couple of options as well as having a continental, never seen that in another B&B and done to hotel standards. Highly recommended if you are visiting the Ring of Kerry.
Killeenleagh Bridge
Located in the middle of Kerry it is perfect for daytrips into the ring of kerry. By car the next town is 15 minutes away, the people around are so kind and helpful. Sometimes the bar next to the Hostel is open so you can even enjoy a guiness or two with your traveller friends!
